Bricolage Theater

Association of Fundraising Professionals of Western Pennsylvania - along with the non-profit organizations in our region -  seeks to achieve a broad representation of experiences, perspectives, opinions and cultures in the work that we do. Inclusiveness is an essential source of vitality and strength for any organization. Please join us for a drink, a show and a thoughtful conversation as we kickoff our diversity and inclusion programming for 2018 with, “A Night of Theater and Thought”  featuring an immersive improvised performance by Just Collaboration.

This improvised performance will include a facilitated talkback with the actors to engage the audience in a dialogue about the show.

As this is meant to be an interactive experience, we’d like to hear from you. Please watch for a survey coming out after the holidays to provide your thoughts and suggestions on the guidance of the performance.

Free for AFP members, $10 for non-members

Campaigns: from Planning to Implementations

Thursday, February 22, 2018 - 8:30am - 10:30am
 Carnegie Mellon University

Presented by: Emma Kiernan

Is your organization ready to take its fundraising to the next level? Have you been contemplating a fundraising campaign but don't know where to start?  As donations climb past to their 2007 pre-recession levels - contributions topped $390 billion in 2016 - it may be just the right time for your nonprofit to begin its campaign planning. In this interactive session, we will discuss the most important components of campaigns:

  • Determining your organization's readiness for capital fundraising
  • Planning your capital campaign with confidence
  • Integrating your campaign into your development program

The goal of this session is for participants to leave with the essential tools for assessing their organization's readiness for a campaign, as well as tips and best practices for planning and implementation.
